We've split up different states of a patient (e.g. Review, Complete) based on certain rules.

For our rules, we always use national and international clinical guidance and best practices to inform status definitions.

Rules used for Review tab of Atrial Fibrillation

A patient may have any of the following conditions met:

  • Currently diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation
  • No CHA2DS2 taken within QOF year
  • CHA2DS2 not recorded
  • If the patient is 75 years old or older then:
    • They should have a creatinine reading within the last 6 months
    • Otherwise, they should have a creatinine reading within the last 12 months

Why did we choose these rules?

Based on NICE guidance and user feedback
